About Ariel Dansky

It all started when…

I walked into CADENA SER radio station in Alcalá de Henares, Spain in June 2009. Our class assignment was to be interviewed by the radio host in Spanish. At twenty years old, it was my first experience living in another country. When he asked if I had tried jamon serrano, I cautiously revealed that I didn’t eat pork because of my Jewish heritage. As our exchanged continued, I felt something magical happening: both he and I were gaining mutual understanding. Cultural stereotypes were broken, and bridges were built. I was hooked.

Today, I’m an educator, global citizen, and cultural diplomacy enthusiast. I’ve lived in El Salvador, The Bahamas, the United Kingdom and Morocco, studying and working in the fields of International Development and Education.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Central Florida and a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science. I obtained my Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate from International TEFL Academy. I speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Moroccan Arabic.
